LGBT Plus

Dumfries & Galloway LGBT Plus is a Scottish Incorporated Organisation set up in January 2015 for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning and others similarly affected by minority issues of sexual orientation and/or gender identity e.g intersex, asexual or pansexual people as well as their families, allies and supporters.

Within Dumfries & Galloway and surrounding regions and other rural areas, they promote equality and diversity and advance human rights by helping their members to live happier, safer, more active and healthier lives and engage more confidently within their communities. They work with organisations and communities so they can better support, include and value LGBT Plus adults, older people and families.

They offer a wide range of social events to suit everyone across the region including lunches, dinners, film nights, walks, fun rainbow day outings, and PRIDE events.

They also offer many forms of support including one to one support and advocacy, alternative therapies, group therapy, peer support, CBT, befriending, specific transgender support, long-term condition support, regional drop-ins as well as a range of other services.

Recognising that issues relating to LGBT Plus identities affect more than the individuals selves Dumfries & Galloway LGBT Plus also offer a range of services to families, friends and allies.
