MPOX
Anyone can get mpox. It can be transmitted through close personal contact with someone who has the infection, such as during sex. However, most of the cases across Europe and the UK have been in gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM).
Mpox vaccination is available from Sexual Health D&G to
- gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men and who have multiple partners, participate in group sex or attend sex-on-premises venues
- trans and non-binary people who are in similar networks to GBMSM
If you are a gay or bisexual man or a man who has sex with men, and have not had both doses of the mpox vaccine, you may be offered it next time you come to us for a sexual health appointment. However, we do not offer dedicated mpox vaccine appointments or vaccination for travel.
